Educational Workshops Focused on Holistic Wellness

Women’s Wellness Thursdays series is comprised of
free or donation based classes centered on Women’s topics.

These workshops offer a relaxing, social environment for women to gather,
empower and educate one another.

●  Holistic Fridays is a workshop series aiming to educate and entertain.

These workshops have a small fee that include materials.

●  Herbal Apothecary Series is a workshop series that will be held each season, each class
will have remedy recipe to be made and taken home by the participants.  

Also includes informational packets, and the recipe from the class.  




Stress: A Feminine-Focused Approach

Learn how to engage your senses to calm the mind.

In this fun workshop we will eat chocolate (yes chocolate!), listen to music, use mala beads, and more to
learn how to focus our mind, tap into easy stress release, and feel at peace. Come sip Cold Spring Apothecary
Chocolate Chai Tea and let Krystal take you on a relaxing sensory journey.

Candle Making

Holistic Friday [Fee $50] | Stacey Dugliss & Jacqueline Maisonet | May 12th, 7pm-9pm

Jacqueline and Stacey have been handcrafting candles for Cold Spring Apothecary customers for years and during
this workshop they will show you how to make your own. The real treat will be the tutorial in scent design, what pairs well
with what and how much to add to ensure your candle burns that perfect scent. Keep the candle for yourself or
give as a gift, each participant will have the opportunity to make a large and travel size candle to take with them.

Mindful Hike

Open [Fee $20] | Krystal Ford | Sunday, May 21st, 3:30pm-5:30pm

Ever go for a walk but can't remember anything you saw? Or were too busy composing emails?  Yoga teacher and personal trainer Krystal Ford will take you on an hour long hike at the West Point Foundry Preserve and use some yoga and nature based meditations to help you be fully present.  A great way to learn how to tune out the world of endless emails and texts and focus on what is directly in front of you.  We will end our hike at the Cold Spring Apothecary and finish off our conversation with some tea. Each participate will receive both CSA tea and skincare samples to take home.

Addressing your Skin Type

Women’s Wellness | Stacey Dugliss-Wesselman & Jacqueline Maisonet | Thursday, June 1st, 7:30pm-9pm

Skin types change as we age and as the seasons go by, this workshop will focus on how we should maintain and treat our skin to enhance and heal the skin using internal and external methods.  This class will be useful for anyone who struggles with treating skin irritations or wants to learn more about pampering their skin.

Summer Herbal Apothecary

Herbal Apothecary Series [$45] | Stacey Dugliss-Wesselman | Friday, June 9th, 7:30pm-9pm

Herbal Pharmacy Series-Summer; Learn how to use and identify herbs that heal in the summer time.   During this workshop Stacey will discuss oils / herbs that deter bugs including recipes for both topical application and around the home.  We will discuss naturals that aid in sun protection as well as sun burn relief home recipes.  Learn to identify poison ivy / sumac and how to create home remedies for them.  Each participant will learn how to make an itch relief oil and burn relief salve to take home with them. All participants will also receive a brochure of all information discussed as well as recipes to create and use at home.

Aromatherapy Basics

Aromatherapy is part of everyone’s daily life, think about how happy the smell of coffee makes you, or the smell of cookies make you hungry and nostalgic for home.  Come learn more about how the essential oils can be incorporated into your medicine closet to heal, inspire, and soothe your body, mind and home.

The Art of Clay Masks

Women’s Wellness [Fee $25] | Stacey Dugliss-Wesselman | Thursday,  June 22nd, 7:30pm-9pm

Create a take home mask based upon your skin type, with a skin care card that lists recommended treatments to common irritations and blemishes.  Clay masks have rich histories in many cultures with specific treatments that will surely encourage you to use clay masks for all their miraculous uses. *Please note, there is a $25 material fee for this class.

Krystal Ford from Mountain River Yoga, teaches yoga and leads Hike and Yoga classes around cold spring and Garrison. She is a vinyasa yoga teacher and a certified personal trainer.  She is an avid gardener, hiker, and nature lover, she finds that yoga and being out in nature are the two things that bring her peace and calm, and she tries combine the two whenever she can.
Erin Bell is a certified health, nutrition and lifestyle consultant from Institute for Integrative Nutrition, a Certified Yoga Instructor from Sivinanda Ashram, Licensed Massage Therapist from Santa Barbara Body Therapy Institute CA,  Ayurveda trained Esthetician and an optimal living, cycle syncing Mama. Her education in hundreds of nutritional theories, psychology of behavior combined with the physiology of the body fills big gaps in healthcare today. Erin's refreshing perspective is perfect for women who are eager to increase and optimize their hormonal health. She guides exploratory, skillful and intuitive steps to attain desired, sustainable results. The long-term effect is abundant energy, more awareness, radiance and endurance. 
Stacey Dugliss-Wesselman, founder of Cold Spring Apothecary set out 7 years ago to create a product line that combines both her love of nature with her creative desire to formulate hair and skin care products.  Formally educated in medicine and cosmetology, she has the makings of a mad scientist who combines the healing powers of naturals to make luxury products that help the people who use them and keep their bodies free of toxic ingredients.  The Wellness house is happy to host these workshops to educate and bring the community of like-minded people together as we build our understanding of holistic care.  
Jacqueline Maisonet, creative genius, our lab connoisseur, her amazing work ethic and beauty make Cold Spring Apothecary run day to day.  Experience in organic farming and avid reader in permaculture and budding artist, she hopes to one day have a quaint farm with enough animals to rival Noah’s Ark.
